The First Home Guarantee (FHBG)
The First Home Guarantee (FHBG), also known as the 5% Deposit Scheme, is an Australian Government Initiative to support eligible home buyers. The scheme assist those who:
- are Australian citizens or permanents residents over 18 years of age,
- have an annual taxable income up to $125 000 (single applicants) or $200 000 (joint applicants),
- are applying for a first home OR have not owned a property in the last 10 years,
- or are a single parents/legal guardian with at least one dependent child,
- have a minimum 5% deposit
